Amroha: Even as Indian pacer Mohammad Shami wreaked England batsman during the first test on Wednesday, his estranged wife Hasin Jahan here in India, alleged that  the cricketer fudged his age to play in several domestic tournaments.

Terming her husband as '420' in her Facebook post on Wednesday, Jahan had also posted certificates of the cricketer in which different birth dates were mentioned of Shami.

In a Facebook post, after two months of silence,  Jahan shared Shami's 'real birth certificate' and said that the cricketer lied about his age and tricked everyone. Shami, who plays for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, claims his birth year is 1990, but the document shared by Jahan shows that the pacer was born in 1982.

According to the certificates  posted by Hasin of Shami, the UP board examination mark sheet shows that his birth date is January 3,1984 but his driving licence says that his date of birth is June 8,1982. Surprisingly, his Election Voting card said that  on January 1, 2001, his age is 21.

Earlier too, Jahan had posted in the FB about the birth date controversy of Shami saying," See friends, the real birth year of Shami Ahmed. He made a fake birth certificate and has fooled everyone by showing his birth year as 1990. He fooled BCCI, CAB and also public by making a fake birth certificate that allowed him to play Under-22 cricket. Imagine the injustice done to a genuine 22-year-old cricketer who was denied a place in under-22 team because of Shami."

However, the family members of Shami are mum over the recent attack by his erstwhile wife and they are not ready to say anything over the matter.

Hasin Jahan, had already filed a case of domestic violence and infidelity against Shami, with demanding  a monthly compensation of Rs 10 lakh per month for the interim period when the case is on. She has demanded Rs 7 lakh as family maintenance while Rs three lakh per month for the child.

Apart from the allegations of domestic violence and extra-marital affair, she had also alleged that the cricketer had taken money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba on the insistence of an England-based businessman, Mohammad Bhai.

Cricketer Shami and his family have denied all the allegations made against them by Jahan, who had filed a complaint against them at Jadavpur Police Station in Kolkata.Shami's family member also held several round of meetings with Jahan for a compromise, but she refused to budge.(UNI)
