CWG 2022: Indian men's 4x400m relay team enters final

Birmingham: The Indian men’s 4x400m relay team qualified for the final at the Commonwealth Games after finishing second in Heat 2 and sixth overall on Friday.
The team comprising Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Noah Nirmal Tom, Muhammed Ajmal and Amoj Jacob clocked 3:06.97 seconds in the heats. The top eight teams qualified for the finals.
The Indian quartet will be action in the finals on Sunday.
In the women's 100m hurdles, Jyothi Yarraji finished fourth in Heat 2 in 13.18 seconds and missed out on a spot for the finals. She finished 10th overall out of 17 in the qualifying round.
Ancy Sojan narrowly missed the spot in the women long jump finals after finishing over all 13th in the qualifications with the best effort of 6.25m.
The qualification mark was pegged 6.75 or least 12 best performers was to advance to the final. (UNI)
