Hyderabad:Just 2 months, after announcing his retirement, former cricketer Ambati Rayadu has made a big U-turn and expressed his desire to comeback from retirement and play in all formats.
On Thursday, Rayadu wrote a letter to Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and said that his decision to retire was an emotional one and now he is available for selection.

"I would like to bring to your notice that I would like to come out of retirement and play cricket in all formats. I am looking forward to a wonderful season ahead with a very talented Hyderabad team and help the team realise its full potential. I will be available from September 10 to join the Hyderabad team," Rayadu wrote in a letter to HCA.

Rayadu also thanked IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings and couple of senior players, who guided him during his 'tough time' and helped him realise that he made a hasty decision.
'I want to take this opportunity to thank Chennai Super Kings, VVS Laxman and Noel David, who have been very supportive during the tough time and made me realise that I have enough cricket left in me'', Rayadu wrote.

Later, HCA's CoA also put out a statement saying, "This is to inform you that Ambati Rayudu has withdrawn his announcement of retirement and has made himself available for the shorter format of the game for HCA in 2019-20."

Earlier, Rayadu had announced his retirement from from all forms on cricket in the first week of July after he was not picked as a replacement for the injured Shikhar Dhawan despite being named one of five stand-by for the World Cup. Last year, the middle-order batter had announced his retirement from first-class cricket in order to focus on his limited-overs career.(UNI)
