Kolkata: In spite of growing concerns around Virat Kohli's batting form, India white-ball captain Rohit Sharma on Tuesday said he's in great mental space and everything will fall in place once the chatter around him stops.
Ahead of the first T20I between India and West Indies at the Eden Gardens, Rohit wasn't pleased to talk about the prolonged lean patch that Kohli is enduring.
When media queries once again focused on Kohli's batting, Rohit at a virtual press conference said, "He's been part of international cricket for more than a decade. When someone has spent such a long time in international cricket, they know how to handle pressure situations. I think it all starts with you guys, if you can keep quiet for a bit, everything will fall in place."
The former skipper Kohli hasn't scored an international century for more than two years.
However, he has amassed a lot of fifties which in itself speaks that he's not really out of form. (UNI)
