Guwahati: Australia beat India by eight wickets in the second T20 of the three-match series here on Tuesday.Put into bat first, India were bundled out for just 118.Jason Behrendorff rocked the hosts early with a lively spell of 4/21 and never allowed them to come back into the contest.In reply, Australia lost openers David Warner and Aaron Finch cheaply but Moises Henriques and Travis Head stitched a solid partnership and helped the visitors cross the line and stay alive in the series.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first against India in the second Twenty20.India, unchanged from Saturday, can win an eighth successive T20 against Australia and wrap up the series with a game to spare.Australia made one change: Marcus Stoinis was in for Daniel Christian.This is the first international to be hosted at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.Overall, it becomes the 49th venue in India to host international cricket.

The pitch bears a two-paced look, and could help the pacers initially.Like in Ranchi, there is a threat of rain late in the evening.India won the first match of three in Ranchi by nine wickets, after winning the one-day international series 4-1.It’s all to play for in Hyderabad – venue for the third and final T20I – as both teams would like to end the series with a win.
