Hosts India will face defending champions Australia in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 semi-finals on October 30 at Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, after securing a place in the knockout stage with an all-round performance against New Zealand.
Australia sealed the top spot in the points table following a commanding win over South Africa in Indore on Saturday, chasing down 98 with seven wickets in hand, powered by a record-breaking bowling display from Alana King. The victory marked the defending champions’ sixth league-stage win, keeping them unbeaten in the tournament.
The semi-final clash will mark the first World Cup semi-final meeting between India and Australia since 2017. India will conclude their league-stage campaign against Bangladesh on Sunday.
In the other semi-final, second-placed South Africa will face third-placed England at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati, on October 29. England have a game in hand and will play New Zealand before the knockouts.The winners of both semifinals will meet in the World Cup final on November 2.
