Tokyo: Indian men's hockey team regained their winning form after a humiliating defeat at the hands of Australia when they beat Spain 3-0 in a group match here on Tuesday.
For the men in blue Rupinder Pal Singh (15', 51') and Simranjeet Singh (14') scored, including one from a penalty stroke, while goalkeeper PR Sreejesh kept a clean sheet to bring India's Olympics campaign back on track.
This was India's second win in three matches. Earlier they had defeated New Zealand 3-2 on Saturday, before going down to Australia. India is now placed at the second position in the group of six.The top four teams from the group will go to the knockout stage.(UNI)
