Indian Shuttler Jwala Gutta shares her #MeToo story

New Delhi:The #MeToo Movement on various social media platform has taken the world by storm.The new entrance on this list is the former ace badminton player ,Jwala Gutta .She shared her story of 'mental harassment' and selection biases on Twitter on Tuesday .
In her tweet she said,''Since 2006.since this person became the chief ..threw me out of national team inspite of me being a national champion.the latest was when I returned from RIO. I am out of national team again.one of the reasons I stopped playing!!''
 
The Hyderabad-based player had a much-publicised feud with chief national coach P Gopichand, during which she alleged that he concentrated solely on singles players while ignoring the ones in doubles.
 
Earlier she also claimed that criticism of Gopichand resulted in her being sidelined from the national team and even the loss of doubles partners.However, did not take Gopichand's name in her tweets on Tuesday.
 
The Arjuna awardee,Jwala Gutta had won a gold medal in the mixed doubles category of the South Asian Games in the year 2016.In Commonwealth Games, she has clinched one gold, two silver medals and one bronze.(UNI)
