IPL 2022, LSG vs RR: Rajasthan Royals to face spirited Lucknow Super Giants

Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face a spirited Lucknow Super Giants in an Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

After starting their campaign with two consecutive wins, Rajasthan lost their last outing against Royal Challengers Bangalore. While Lucknow, who began their campaign with a defeat, turnaround thing quickly with three back-to-back wins with the most recent against Delhi Capitals.

Rajasthan are heavily relying on Jos Buttler, but their other opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is struggling and the team may consider to look into their opening combination.

However, the middle-order seems sorted with Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer among runs. Spin veteran Ravichandran Ashwin and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal are both in form but pacer Navdeep Saini needs to find his rhythm in order to support seamers Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna.

Lucknow's captain KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock have spearheaded the batting department and have been getting able support from the middle-order consisting Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni.

Pacer Avesh Khan and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi have managed to hold some of the established names in T20 cricket. The addition of all-rounder Jason Holder further adds depth in Lucknow's line-up.
