IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants suffers major blow, THIS English fast bowler rules out of tournament due to injury

Lucknow: Indian Premier League (IPL)'s newly added franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered a major blow ahead of the 15th season as England's fast bowler Mark Wood was ruled out of the tournament due to an elbow injury.

The English speedster picked up the injury during the first Test match against West Indies last week.

According to ESPNcricinfo, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) informed the IPL franchise about Wood's injury and replacement for the same is yet to be announced.

LSG acquired Wood's services for Rs 7.5 crore at the mega auction held in February.

Super Giants will commence their IPl campaign on March 28 against Gujarat Titans at Wankhede Stadium. (UNI)
