IPL 2022, MI vs DC: I felt Tim David nicked, but my teammates didn't: Rishabh Pant on DRS blunder

Mumbai: A dispirited Delhi Capitals Captain Rishabh Pant said he felt Mumbai Indians' Tim David had nicked the ball, but his teammates standing in the circle thought otherwise, and hence he did not refer it to the TV umpire.
"I thought there was something (about not reviewing the Tim David caught behind). Everyone standing in the circle wasn't convinced and at the end I didn't go up," he said at the post-match presentation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium here.
Pant had not asked for a review after the replay showed David had nicked the ball behind. This mistake however cost DC heavily as David knocked them out of IPL with his 40-odd hurricane knock.
Pant said DC were 5-7 runs short, but they bowled really well, the dew played spoil sports towards the end. "We bowled well throughout the tournament, but dew came in towards the end and we didn't bowl to our plans. It's hard but we got to take it on our chin and learn from it.
"For most of the game we were on top. On occasions, we let the game slip away from our grasp when we were on top. That's what we were doing throughout the season. Not good enough to lose this match I guess. It's not about pressure. We could have done better execution and planning. We have learn from mistakes and come back stronger next year," he said. (UNI)
