PAK vs SA: Mohammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman and Wahab Riaz dropped for T20I series

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday announced a 20-man squad for their three-match T20I series against South Africa, beginning February 11.
Fakhar Zaman and Wahab Riaz were dropped from the while several top names including the in-form Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim were also missing from the Pakistan squad.
Pakistan had last played a T20I series against New Zealand, which they lost 2-1. While Shadab led the side in New Zealand, Hafeez continued his purple patch with the bat.
Meanwhile, the Mohammad Akram-led selection panel named four uncapped players: left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar, bowling all-rounder Amad Butt, all-rounder Danish Aziz and legspinner Zahid Mehmood.
The squad along with the officials will enter the bio-secure bubble from February 3. The players who are a part of the second Test in Rawalpindi will join the bubble after the Test is completed.
All the matches of the three-match T20I series will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on February 11, 13 and 14.
