Karachi: Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Thursday tested positive for Covid-19.

The 41-year-old, who plays for Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League, will miss his team's first four matches.

This is the second time that Afridi has returned Covid-19 positive, having being infected with the virus in June 2020 when he was involved in relief work during the early stages of the pandemic.

"I have unfortunately tested positive but have no symptoms at all. InshALLAH hope to recover soon, test negative and rejoin QG as soon as possible. Good luck to all teams in #HBLPSL7 I'm committed to giving it my all in my last PSL edition," tweeted Afridi.
