Para-shuttlers clinch 21 medals in Spain

Cartagena (Spain): Indian para-badminton contingent bagged 21 medals (6 golds, 7 silvers and 8 bronze) at the Spanish Para Internationals.

World no 1 and reigning world champion Manasi Joshi clinched a gold in women's singles and a silver in mixed doubles teaming with Ruthik Raghupati on Sunday.

Tokyo Paralympics champion Pramod Bhagat claimed three medals including two silvers and a bronze.

Besides Manasi, Nithya Sre (Women's Singles SH6), Raja and Krishna Nagar (Men's Doubles SH6), Raj Kumar and Parul (Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5), Chirag Bareth and Raj Kumar (Men's Doubles SU5) and Nitesh Kumar and Tarun Dhillon (Men's Doubles SL3-SL4) bagged gold. Pramod Bhagat (men's singles SL3), Mandeep Kaur (women's singles SL3), Tarun Dhillon (men's singles SL4), Krishna Nagar (men's Singles SH6), Hardik Makkar and Ruthik (men's doubles SU5) and Pramod and Manoj Sarkar (men's doubles SL3-SL4) won silver.

Manoj Sarkar (men's singles SL3), Nitesh Kumar (men's singles SL3), Parul Parmar (women's singles SL3), Nilesh Gaikwad (men's singles SL4), Sukant Kadam (men's singles SL4), Arwaz Ansari and Deep Ranjan (men's doubles SL3-SL4), Pramod and Palak Kohli (mixed doubles SL3-SU5) and Prem Ale and Abu Hubaida (men's doubles WH1-WH2) clinched a bronze.
