Ayodhya: Preparations for the fifth Deepotsav during the festival of Diwali have been started in Ayodhya, it was reported on Monday.
All the temples of Ram ki Paidi were being renovated in the ancient style. The Deepotsav will be for 7 to 10 days. In the event, about seven and a half lakh lamps will illuminate at the Saryu ghat and at the temples in Ram ki Paidi.
There is also a possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi participating on the day of Deepotsav to be held on November 3, for which preparations have also started.
The Yogi Adityanath government is preparing to celebrate the last Deepotsav of its tenure in a grand manner. Since the formation of the Uttar Pradesh government, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started celebrating Deepotsav in Ayodhya according to its mythology and antiquity.
The grandeur of Deepotsav is increasing with every year and in such a situation, to make this year's Deepotsav more grand, it can be organized for 7 to 10 days, confirmed District Magistrate (DM) Anuj Jha here on Monday.
The century old temples situated on the Ram ki Paidi were being renovated as per its tradition and cultural values. For this, the deteriorating walls of the temples were being constructed with mixture of lime, succulent, google jaggery. After that the temples of the entire Ghat will be painted in one color. Seven and a half lakh lamps will be lit on the banks of this ghat.
Ramji Bhai, the supervisor of the construction work, said that the ancient temples are being renovated, in which the old method is being made using lime, jaggery, google, morang.
This work is being done by the government for the purpose of Deepotsav. The old and ancient forts that are renovated are also made from this old method.
Right now 8 artisans are working day and night to repair the outer walls of all the ancient temples before Diwali. After the repair is completed, the temples will be painted in one color, he said. (UNI)
