Abu Dhabi: Led by Angelo Mathews, Srilanka team eyes an early exit from Asia Cup as they take on Afghanistan on Monday. Sri Lanka received a humiliating defeat by Bangladesh in the opening match and now match against Afghanistan is must win for them.
In the history of Asia cup, Srilanka has only failed once to surge into the next round. In the year 2012 Pakistan met Bangladesh in finals. However, In 2016 Lanka failed to make a place in final but that was a T-20 format. If Lanka loses against Afghanistan it will be the end of their Asia Cup campaign. (WD)
