Srinagar:Cricketer Suresh Raina on Friday called on Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh and volunteered to guide cricket teams.DGP Singh had approached Raina to train cricketers of Jammu and Kashmir when he (Raina) announced his retirement from the international cricket.
Later in response to DGP's offer Raina, who has opted out from the Indian Premiere League (IPL) and returned from Dubai last month, has responded positively.A police spokesman said this evening that Raina called on DGP Singh at Police Headquarter Srinagar and had discussed about a series of plans of J&K police for encouraging local youth in honing their sports skills. He said Raina volunteered to meet and guide cricket teams.(UNI)
