Team India may play its first Day Night test here

Sydney: Cricket Australia (CA) is eager to host India for day-night test match at Adelaide this year, after releasing their international playing schedule on Monday.
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have so far resisted the CA's overtures.
CA has again offered to play the BCCI for day-night matches. The Australian Board wants to play in the first match of the four-test series against India in Adelaide from December 6 to 10 in the day-night format. Australia had already played with pink balls with New Zealand, South Africa and England in the recent years.

Australia believes that day-night test cricket is the future of this game and it will play an important role in popularising the test. Australia will play with pink ball against Sri Lanka between January 24-28 in Brisbane next year. CA Chief Executive James Sutherland said that his board is compromising with India to play matches in the same format.

"Our priority is that we play day-night matches with Adelaide in India, but we are still working on these possibilities and it will be decided in the coming weeks," said Mr Sutherland. Earlier, the Chief Executive of CA had advised the International Cricket Council (ICC) to play in the day-night format in the new Test Championship.(UNI)
