New Delhi: Questions are being raised on the Indian cricket team after their huge defeat against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. After fans, now politicians are also demanding answers from the team.
Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor expressed his disappointment on India’s defeat on Sunday and demanded an explanation skipper Virat Kohli, the reason behind losing the match.
In a tweet on Monday he said: "We have adored them, applauded them, admired them & awarded them. We don't mind their losing but we do mind their not even putting up a fight. The captain needn't tell us what went wrong (we could see that for ourselves); he needs to tell us WHY!"
India's journey so far in the T20 World Cup has been disappointing. In their second match on Sunday, team India suffered a huge 8-wicket loss against New Zealand. This was after the thrashing by arch-rival Pakistan in their opening match where they lost by 10 wickets. (UNI)
