Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan in Super Over of 3rd ODI

Rawalpindi: Zimbabwe won a thrilling Super Over in the last match of the three-match series against Pakistan. Pakistan's team could score just two runs in the super over and Zimbabwe easily won the match. Pakistan however managed to win the series 2–1.
Zimbabwe batting first on Tuesday raised the score to 278 for six wickets in response to which Pakistan scored the same number of runs at the loss of nine wickets and the score remained tied. The match was decided in a super over in which Pakistan's team managed to play only four balls and set a target of three runs in front of Zimbabwe which the team achieved on the third ball.
        
Earlier Zimbabwe had a poor start and three top-order batsmen could not even touch the double figures. All got out after scoring just 9, 0 and 1. Wicket Keeper Brandon Taylor and Sean Williams made a much-needed partnership for Zimbabwe, losing three wickets for 22 runs. 
 
Williams scored an unbeaten 118-run century off 135 balls with 13 fours and a six, while Taylor scored 56 runs. Both shared an 84-run partnership for the fourth wicket. In the end, Sikander Raza played the innings of 45 runs off 36 balls and the team's score reached 278 runs. Mohammad Hasnain took five wickets.
 
Pakistan also had a poor start in response to this and when the team's score was four runs, the team's first wicket as Imam ul Haq fell, while Hyder Ali's wicket fell for 20 runs. Captain Babar Azam, who came to bat after this, played a century while scoring 125 runs with the help of 13 fours and a six off 125 balls. Wahab Riaz played a good knock of 52 runs to give support to the skipper while wickets were falling at the other end.
 
Blessing Muzarabani became the Player of the Match for Zimbabwe taking five wickets for 49 runs while Babar Azam received the Player of the Series award.
