Every day, lakhs of people travel via Indian Railways. While many long-distance passengers make advance reservations, there are countless others who rely on general coaches without reservation. For these passengers, standing in long queues at railway stations for a general ticket is a common frustration. But now, Indian Railways has made general ticket booking digital with the launch of the UTS mobile app (Unreserved Ticketing System) — a smart and time-saving solution for daily and unplanned travelers.
What is the UTS App and How Does It Work?
The UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) app is specially designed for booking unreserved or general class tickets. Whether you're commuting daily or planning a last-minute journey, this app allows you to buy tickets directly from your smartphone — no standing in line, no paper tickets.
