Delhi: Man dies, daughter injured after tree falls on them in Kalkaji amid heavy rain - WATCH

New Delhi: A 50-year-old man was killed while his 22 year old daughter suffered critical injuries after a tree fell on their bike due to heavy rain in South Delhi's Kalkaji area on Thursday morning.

Police said the incident happened Near B-Block, Kalkaji (Paras Chowk) at 9:50 am.

The deceased was identified as Sudhir Kumar (50) and his daughter Priya (22). Sudhir died on the spot.

A JCB machine was used in rescue operation and to remove the fallen tree. The tree also fell on a car but the car occupants are safe although injured.

A JCB was arranged and the injured were safely extricated and shifted to Hospital.

The official said that another car parked in the vicinity was also damaged due to the fallen tree, but no one was injured.
