“Happens only in India”: Delhi residents celebrate thief's birthday with cake before handing over to police – WATCH viral VIDEO

A video of some people celebrating the birthday of an alleged thief with a ‘chor’ written cake has gone viral on the social media.

According to reports, the residents of a society in New Delhi spotted three people breaking into a flat. The residents ran after the thieves to catch them, but two of them managed to flee whereas one was left behind.

The thief started crying and said that it was his birthday. Taking pity on him, the residents decided to get a cake for him with "Chor" written on it.

The viral video shows how the residents gathered around the visibly-scared thief and sang “Happy birthday Chor.”

The thief was later handed over to the police.
