Karnataka: FIR against DJ owner, others for playing provocative song outside masjid during Ganesh Visarjan (VIDEO)

Kalaburagi: A FIR has named a group of people including DJ Owner Saleem for allegedly playing a provocative song outside a masjid during a Ganesh Visarjan procession.

Among other accused are Tukaram and Amresh. All of them are yet to be arrested by Kalaburagi police.

The accused have been booked for alleged violation of maintaining order in public places and creating traffic hazard under Section 103 of the Karnataka Police Act 1963.

They have also been booked for allegedly disobeying an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant and outraging religious sentiments, under sections 188 and 295A of the Indian Penal Code.

The incident took place on Saturday evening during Ganesh Visarjan, a video of which had gone viral on social media.

The Kalaburagi police registered FIR after taking suo motu cognisance of the video stating that the song "khoon se iss dharti ko ham nehlayenge, hum tujhko teri aukaat batayenge" was played with an intent of creating disturbance in the area.
