New Delhi: With the Lok Sabha elections results, almost all major exit polls have proven wrong putting a question on the credibility of polling agencies.
The exit polls published by nearly a dozen of agencies in collaboration with media houses went completely off the mark. This shows that they failed to feel the mood of the voters.
As against estimates of BJP-led NDA crossing 400-mark in the 543-member Lok Sabha by some pollsters, the ruling alliance could secure a score of below 300 in actual result.
Proven wrong over his post-poll survey, Axis My India Chairman and Managing Director Pradeep Gupta even broke down on live TV. He was consoled by the anchors as he was seen wiping his tears.
