A pub in Pune has sparked controversy by sending condoms and Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) to invitees for a New Year's Eve bash. The unconventional move has been criticized by the Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress, which claims it goes against the city's traditions.
The Congress has filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner, demanding strict action against the pub management. Akshay Jain, a Youth Congress member, stated that while they're not against pubs and nightlife, the marketing strategy is inappropriate.
The police have recorded statements from invitees and are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the Pune Traffic Police has issued an advisory regarding road closures and diversions on New Year's Eve to ensure safety.
