The Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested Manohar Lal Dhakad, a local politician from Mandsaur whose alleged video has gone viral showing him engaging in sexual acts with a woman on Delhi-Mumbai expressway. However, one more video of Dhakad has now surfaced on the social media.
The new video shows him dancing with the same woman on the Expressway. The videos were captured on May 13 in a CCTV camera of a toll plaza of the NHAI.
Following the viral video, the police filed an FIR against Dhakad and the woman under sections 296, 285, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
Reports say these CCTV footages were leaked by the toll employees themselves. It is suspected that these employees had tried to blackmail Dhakad. When the demands were not met, they made the video viral.
The police have written to the NHAI officials seeking details about the staff on duty at the time.
Meanwhile, NHAI has removed the three temporary employees whose voices are heard in the video.
It is being claimed that the police have identified the woman although her identity has not been revealed.
Dhakad has been removed from the post of national secretary by the Dhakad Mahasabha registered in Ujjain.
While the Congress has alleged that Dhakad is a local BJP leader, ruling party’s district president Rajesh Dixit has told the media that the accused is not a primary member of the party. However, Dhakad’s wife is a BJP-backed independent District Panchayat member.
