A professor in Uttar Pradesh has been suspended for allegedly sexually exploiting women students. The accused professor, Rajnish, was the head of the geography department at Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College in Hathras.
An FIR was filed against him on March 13 after an anonymous complaint alleged that he was involved in sexual exploitation of women students.
The professor has been booked under sections 64(2) (rape), 68 (sexual intercourse by a person in authority), and 75 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty). The police are currently investigating the matter and trying to trace the anonymous complainant.
The complainant alleged that the professor would indulge in obscene acts with women students, exploit them, and even make videos of them. The complainant alleged that she had made complaint against this but no action has been taken yet.
The college secretary, Pradeep Kumar Bagla, suspended the professor after the FIR was filed. The incident has sparked outrage, with the complainant urging authorities to take strict action against the professor and provide justice to the affected students.
"(Narendra) Modi government supports 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' but even after that such people are committing cruelty with daughters. I am so troubled by this cruel person that sometimes I think of committing suicide," the complainant said in the letter to the Women Commission and other senior officials.
"Please save the girl students... Due to public shame, no girl student will say anything. Therefore, please take strict action against this monster and provide justice to many girls like me," she further said.
The complainant has also sent some photos in which the professor is seen indulging in obscene acts.
The video clips of the accused professor with young girls are going viral on social media.
