Viral Video: J&K man ties dog to scooty and drags it on the road, arrested

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested a man who tied a dog with his scooty and dragged it along a road in Srinagar, officials said.

A video of the dog tied with the scooty and being dragged went viral on social media.

After the incident came to the light, police swung in action and registered a case under section 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle or any animal) of Indian Penal Code and section 11 of prevention of cruelty to animals Act at Nishat Police Station.

Police said the accused identified as Abdul Rashid Dar of Gaw Marg Shalimar has been arrested and the scooty was also seized. (UNI)
