Ishant's fifer bundles Bangladesh on 106 runs in 1st inning

Kolkata: Ishant Sharma's 5/22 helped India to restrict Bangladesh 106 all out before tea in the historic day-night 5-day Test match with pink ball on the first day at Eden Gardens here on Friday.
Indian pace trio Ishant Sharma while heading the list of top wicket-taker in his 12 overs spell, his mate Umesh Yadav followed him with 3/29 in 7 overs, and Mohammed Shami ended with 2/36 in 10.3 overs.
 
The visiting side which conceded an innings and 130 runs defeat in the first Test at Indore, could bat only 30.3 overs and collapse before tea.
 
Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque after winning the toss decided to bat first but his all the batters failed to face the battery of Indian pace at the full house of Eden Gardens.Bangladesh were 73/6 at lunch in 21.4 overs could add only 33 runs in remaining 4 wickets between post-lunch and tea.
 
Bangla batsman Liton Das (24 runs), who was retired hurt after a rising delivery from Md Shami, was sent to a private hospital in the city for further check-up. He was seen bleeding. In his place Ebadat Hossain came to bat after lunch could score only 1 (one) before being bowled by Ishant Sharma's delivery.

Yadav in his third ball of the same over bowled Md Mithun (0) and local hero Mohammed Shami dismantled Bangladesh most experienced batter Mushfiqur Rahim (0) in the next over when the visitors were looked shaky and unstable at 4/26 in 11.5 overs.
 
Holding on to the pitch for Bangladesh batsmen looked a difficult proposition in the face of Indian pace attack with the pink ball as Umeh Yadav struck again getting the opener.
 
Sadman Islam (29) out when Saha held the ball following an edge. Shadman Islam faced 52 balls and scored the highest 29 for the tourists with five 4s.
 
Ishant Sharma was again hit the target when Mahmudullah (6) missed his out swing and edged to wicketkeeper Saha, who dived full stretch to hold the ball as Virat Kholi also stretched out his hand.It was a special catch for Saha, who also knows well the Eden pitch.(UNI)
