2.0 box office collection: Hindi version earns more than South versions

New Delhi: Continuing its strong march at the box office, the Rajnikanth Akshay kumar starrer ‘2.0’ earned Rs 25 cr on Saturday, taking its collection in its first three days to Rs.63.25 crore , trade sources said on Sunday.
The Hindi version of Shankar’s 2.0 earned Rs 25 crore on Sunday.
The sci-fi action drama, a sequel to rajnikanth film ‘Robot’, had earned Rs.20.25 crore on Thursday and Rs.18 crore on Friday.
The film has collected Rs.63.25 crore so far.
With Sunday still remaining, the film could expect a bountiful extended weekend.
Trade sources said stable collections on Sunday would take the film really close to the Rs.90 crore mark. However, a jump in the collections could take thd film close to the Rs.100 Crore Club in its opening weekend.
Trade sources said ‘2.0’ is doing better business in Hindi when compared to the South versions, something they attribute to presence of Akshay Kumar.
‘2.0’ hit cinema screens on November 29 worldwide. (UNI)
