New Delhi: The mystery surrounding a luxury bus full of IPS officers entering Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s residential compound in Bandra has been resolved.
Photos of the officers arriving at the actor's residence circulated on social media, sparking various theories. However, a statement from his team has put all speculation to rest.
"The visit was purely a courtesy call. They are all probationary IPS officers who wanted to meet Aamir Khan," said an official.
A member of the actor's team added, "The IPS trainees from the current batch had requested a meeting with him, and Aamir Khan hosted them at his residence."
The trainees had asked to meet the actor, known for portraying a dutiful IPS officer in the 1999 blockbuster Sarfarosh, and he welcomed them warmly. The meeting was said to be cordial and informal.
This visit reflects Aamir's longstanding connection with law enforcement personnel, many of whom cite his on-screen portrayal as an inspiration for their career choice.
Meanwhile, the actor's Sitaare Zameen Par has earned over Rs165 crore net worldwide. He is also set to be the chief guest at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, scheduled from August 14 to 24, 2025, where his cinematic journey will be honored.
