Days after comedian Sunil Pal claimed he was kidnapped, actor Mushtaq Khan, best known for his role in Akshay Kumar starrer Welcome, came forward to share that he was also kidnapped on pretext of being invited to event in Uttar Pradesh.
The Stree 2 actor’s business partner, Shivam Yadav recently shared that the actor was invited to an event in Meerut, where he was allegedly kidnapped. Reportedly, the actor was paid an advance amount to attend the event, as well as provided with flight tickets.
He alleged that the kidnappers tortured Khan for 12 hours and demanded a crore as ransom. They eventually took Rs 2 lakh from the actor and his son’s account. The actor ran away after he heard the morning azaan, believing a mosque would be close by. With the help of the police, he made it back home safely.
Shivam told India Today, “Mushtaq sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened with him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neigbhourhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police team will surely get the culprits soon.”
A few days ago, comedian Sunil Pal faced a similar ordeal after he was kidnapped when was on his way to Haridwar to attend an event. The kidnappers held him hostage, demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. However, after negotiations, Sunil managed to secure his release by paying around Rs 8 lakh.
