VIDEO: ISRO chairman offers prayers at Andhra Pradesh's Parameswari temple for success of Chandrayanna-3

Tirupati: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman S Somanath offered prayers at Sri Chengalamma Parameswari temple at Sullurpeta near here on Thursday ahead of the launch of Chandrayaan-3 Mission.
 
The ISRO chairman, accompanied by some other scientists of the space agency, performed special pujas at the temple located nearby Sriharikota, where the spaceport is located, seeking blessings of successful flight of spacecraft.
 
The scientists also carried a replica of the Chandrayaan-3 along with them.
 
Speaking after performing pujas at the temple and seeking blessings of the successful flight of the spacecraft, Somanath said the countdown for the launch began today at 1300 hours in the afternoon and rocket launch will occur on Friday afternoon at 1435 hours.
 
“I came here to pray and seek the blessings for the success of this mission," the Chairman said ISRO had adopted all available latest technologies in the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft ensuring its super success.


 
ISRO is also geared up to launch another spacecraft PSLV-C57 within a week and Aditya L1 mission launch which is the first space-based Indian mission to study the sun, in the last week of August month, he said.
 
Simultaneously as per tradition of the ISRO, a team of scientists involved in the mission, presented the prototype of Chandrayaan-3 at the feet of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Srivari temple in Tirumala in the morning and performed special pujas seeking his blessings for its success journey in space.
