Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh get engaged

New Delhi: Ahead of their wedding ceremony, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on Wednesday exchanged rings at a ceremony in Italy.Ranveer Singh put a ring on Deepika Padukone's finger, making them. officially engaged. The couple got engaged in a Phool Muddi ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.

The couple flew down to Lake Como in Italy over the weekend to kick-start their wedding rituals. the Phool Muddi ceremony (which translates to flower ring) takes place a day before the wedding day or in the morning of the wedding date. 

In the ceremony, special poojas are held, there is an exchange of turmeric powder and coconuts, the groom is escorted from his home followed by the bride-to-be's father washes his feet and puts a ring on his finger.(UNI)
