Mumbai: Rising Bollywood sensation Aneet Padda, who recently garnered nationwide acclaim for her leading role in the blockbuster "Saiyaara", has expressed gratitude to her former school in Amritsar for their show of affection and recognition.
Aneet was visibly moved after her former school created a special tribute video commemorating her remarkable journey, from a bright-eyed student walking the corridors of Spring Dale Senior School to becoming the breakout star of 2025.
She re-shared the video on Instagram, which shows her journey from her school days to becoming a blockbuster star of 2025. The school not only congratulated her on her achievement, but also wished her a bright future.
Hailing from a non-filmi background, Padda's trajectory is an emblem of self-made success. Born and raised in Amritsar, she began her career with advertisements. She initially showcased her acting chops in the web series "Big Girls Don't Cry", but "Saiyaara" has made her a household name.
Teachers and mentors from the institution described her as an articulate, warm-hearted student with a keen sense of performance and emotional depth at a young age.
Sharing the video, Spring Dale Senior School wrote, “We are immensely proud to celebrate the success of our distinguished alumna, Aneet Padda, who has delivered a compelling lead performance in Saiyaara, a major cinematic release by Yash Raj Films.”
Aneet shared the video and wrote an emotional note, "I don’t even know how to put this into words. Watching this, I just sat there with the biggest smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Dales is where I’ve grown up, where I’ve learnt how to dream big, where people believed in me long before I even had the courage to believe in myself. To see my teachers, my mentors, and even the students come together to make something this beautiful is overwhelming in the best way.
"Every time I step onto a set now, there’s a part of me that’s still that little girl in a Springdale uniform, sitting in class, daydreaming about this exact life. And I know I wouldn’t be here without the people who taught me, guided me, and loved me through every phase of growing up," she said.
Aneet further penned, "I hope I make you proud, not just with the film, but with who I’m becoming. I can’t wait to come back, and just say thank you to each of you, properly, face to face. You’ve given me so much more than an education, you’ve given me a piece of myself I’ll never lose. Thank you for seeing me, for cheering for me, and for reminding me that no matter how far I go, I’ll always have a home to come back to."
Produced by Yash Raj Films CEO Akshay Widhani and directed by Mohit Suri,"Saiyaara" stars Aneet Padda and Ahaan Pandey in lead roles. So far, the film has raked in an impressive Rs 280 crore at the Indian box office.
