Kanika was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) here on March 20 and is being tested after every 48 hours.
SGPGIMS Director Prof RK Dhiman said here on Wednesday that the singer's condition was stable and there was no cause for worry.
Sources said after the fifth report on Tuesday, Kanika too started worrying about her health but doctors attending her consoled her asking her not to worry as she was recovering.
According to the doctors, it takes around three to four weeks to treat a novel coronavirus patient.Earlier, the 42-year-old singer had complained of the hospital facility and staff at the SGPGI.
After her test came positive, several senior politicians including Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh quarantined himself for 14 days as she had attended a gathering with him and other politicians and affluent personalities in the UP capital.However, all the tests of the people, who came in contact with Kanika including her parents and family members were tested negative.
Lucknow police also booked her on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with the virus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home.On Monday, Kanika had posted on Instagram that she hopes her next test is negative.
