Karnataka Ratna Award for actor Puneeth Rajkumar soon

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said a date will soon be fixed to bestow the Karnataka Ratna Award on Puneeth Rajkumar who passed away in 2021.
The decision will be taken in consultation with the late actor's family members.
He passed away at the age of 46 after suffering a heart attack.
"We should remember his huge achievements and good work at such a young age. We would have been celebrating his 47th Birthday today if he was alive," he said grieving the untimely loss.
He wished all the success for Puneeth starrer 'James' that hit the screens on Thursday.
His fans erected huge cut-outs of the actor at several theatres across the state and performed "abhishekam" with milk.
Puneeth passed away on October 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, and two daughters, Drithi and Vandhita. (UNI)
