Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna was chosen for the Dadasaheb Phalke award posthumously, the highest award in the country in the field of cinema, while Bollywood diva Sridevi bagged Best Actress Award posthumously at the 65th National Film Award on Friday.
The Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Newton' has been chosen as the Best Hindi film, Ridhi Sen won the Best Actor Award for Bengali film 'Nagarkirtan', while Jayaraj won the Best Director Award for the film 'Bhayanakam', as per the list of awardees, announced by renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur who heads the jury for the award.The list, also includes Best Male Playback Singer for Yesudas for Poy Maranja Kalam from Viswasapoorvam Mansoor while the award for best Child Artist was bagged by Anita Das for 'The Village Rockstar.'
The award for Best Screenplay (Original): went to the film 'Dhondimuthalum Driksaakshiyum', the Best Screenplay (Adapted) was bagged by ' Bhayanakam' which also won the award for Best Cinematography. Actress Divya Dutta won the award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Iraada' while Best Female Playback Singer Award was won by Waang by Sasha Tirupathi (Kaatru Veliyidai) and Best Sound Design went to 'Walking With The Wind' (Ladakhi Film). The Award for Best Location Sound Recordist was bagged by 'The Village Rockstar.'(UNI)
