Nurse, husband nabbed for stealing Rs 2.4 crore cash, jewellery from Sonam Kapoor's house

New Delhi: A couple has been arrested in connection with a reported burglary at the residence of Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja here, police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, Sonam's in-laws' residence on the Amrita Shergil Marg was looted off Rs 2.4 crore in February.
The police has arrested a woman and her husband, identified as Aparna Wilson and Naresh Kumar Sagar in connection with the case.
Wilson had been on patient home care duties at the house of the complainant on several occasions. This required her to be in close contact with the patient, whose jewelleries were allegedly stolen by the accused and given to her husband, said Amrutha Guguloth, Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi.
Both have been arrested and police has sought their remand, said Guguloth.
A complaint was registered on February 23 about the theft. The complaint said that some cash and jewellery of combined worth Rs 2.4 crore was stolen from their house. They noticed the items missing on February 11, but complained only on February 23.
Immediately an FIR under section 381 IPC was registered at the Tughlaq Road Police Station and a probe initiated.
Sonam and Anaand are expecting their first child. The couple got married on May 8, 2018. (UNI)
