Saina Nehwal became a known name after she won a bronze medal in Beijing Olympics 2012. The adage "Fortune favors the brave" goes right for her as the opponent was not able to play due to injury due to which Saina got a walkover in the bronze medal match. Since then there was curiosity about Saina among one and all.
Initially, her role was being portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor, She was also seen practicing with the real-life Saina. Later on, Parineeti Chopra replaced her contemporary Shraddha Kapoor and was roped in for the lead role.
Bhushan Kumar's T-Series produced 'Saina Nehwal biopic' went on floors on September 22. The film is directed by Amole Gupte who has directed flicks like "Stanly ka Dabba" and "Tare Zameen Par". After changing the lead actress COVID pandemic came into the picture to spoil the shooting schedule. However, the movie is now ready to be screened on 26th March.
