After a number of series being launched on the OTT platforms this year, the one that received a lot of praise was Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992. The pre-release hype was average but as the series came out, people went crazy over it.
Scam 1992 is based on a man Harshad Mehta who single handedly shook the stock market and sent them into a dizzy. The story revolves around his sudden rise and downfall. He was later accused of scamming a lot of people and he eventually died in prison. The series received rave reviews from people despite being on a more uncommon platform i.e. SonyLiv.

Pratik Gandhi played the role of Harshad Mehta and his acting is being appreciated everywhere. With this series, he became a star overnight. However, now the makers of The Big Bull are concerned about their film which is also based on the same subject.

Sources say, the makers of the Abhishek Bachchan starrer The Big Bull were aware of the fact that Scam 1992 is also based on the life of Harshad Mehta but they didn’t think it’d be such a success and largely accepted by the audience. The makers of the movie seem confident about their work but are scared to face the comparisons the audience will make among the stars, their looks, the setting, the music and every other aspect of the movie.

The movie was set to be out on Dec 18, 2020 on Disney+Hotstar but now they’ve pushed its release. The producers Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan know that they cannot push the release of the film forever and thus it’s expected to out for the audience in 2021.

However, sources say the film was pushed to 2021 because Abhishek Bachchan had caught Coronavirus and some scenes were yet to be shot.To know which version of the Harshad Mehta’s story performed well, we will have to wait until 2021.
