New Delhi: The multi-lingual film ‘Karthikeya 2’, has created waves ever since it’s release.
The supernatural mystery thriller sequel to the 2014 hit, was dubbed in five languages and the Hindi version of the film is on an unstoppable dream run at the box office.
Despite competition from big-ticket Bollywood entertainers like Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the Hindi version of ‘Karthikeya 2’ has managed to carve a niche for itself owing to the great reviews and positive word of mouth. With Rs 1.10 crore on Day 3, the film saw a whopping 300 per cent figure jump on its third day, a rare occurrence for new movie releases.
Apart from being widely loved by audiences across the country, ‘Karthikeya 2’ is now praised by superstar Prabhas. He took to Instagram story on Wednesday, and said “Congratulations to @actor_nikhil, @anupamaparameswaran96, @anupamkher, @chandoo_mondeti, @bhairavudu, @peoplemediafactory, @aaartsofficial, and the entire team of #Karthikeya2 for their blockbuster success.”
Reacting to the same, lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha shared “Prabhas Bhai thanks for the Wishes #Karthikeya2 team is overwhelmed with your message to us”.
Written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, it is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal. The movie stars Nikhil, Anupam Kher, Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Reddy, Viva Harsha and Aditya Menon. (UNI)
