Rajinikanth undergoes carotid artery revascularization, to be discharged in few days

Chennai: Dadasaheb Phalke award winner and actor Rajinikanth, who was admitted to Kauvery hospital here late last night, underwent a carotid artery revascularization procedure on Friday and he was likely to be discharged after a few days.
A medical bulletin issued by the hospital said Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital yesterday night following an episode of giddiness.
He was thoroughly evaluated by the expert panel of doctors and was advised to undergo carotid artery revascularization.
'The procedure was performed successfully today and he is recovering well", Dr Arvind Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the hospital, said.
Rajinikanth is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian said Rajinikanth was fine and is likely to be discharged in a day or two.
He said he was admitted to the hospital for a routine check up. (UNI)
