Mumbai: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and industrialist Sunjay Kapur passed away due to a heart attack in London. He was 53. He suffered a heart attack while playing polo in London on Thursday.
Several media reports claim that Sunjay Kapur reportedly inhaled a bee mid-game, which allegedly stung him in the throat. The sting is said to have triggered a severe allergic reaction, which ultimately led to a fatal heart attack.
The death has brought grief to the Kapoor family. Karisma Kapoor was married to businessman Sunjay Kapur in 2003. However, they got divorced in 2014. They have two children, Samaira and Kiaan. After divorcing Karisma, Sunjay Kapur married Priya Sachdev.
Kapur had tweeted on Air India plane crash and died of a heart attack within a few hours.
In his tweet, Sunjay paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the Ahmedabad Air India plane crash.
Kapur was at the Guards Polo Club in England. While playing polo, he suffered uneasiness and collapsed. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. (Inputs from UNI)
