National award winning director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri who recently rechristianized his next project from "The Delhi Files" to "The Bengal Files" has dropped the much anticipating teaser of the film.
The film is based on the communal riots in pre-partition Bengal in the 1940s, particularly focusing on Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. Vivek Agnihotri has described these incidents as genocide of Hindus and through this film, he wants to bring this unseen part of Indian history to the fore.The film stars noted actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi in significant roles.
'The Bengal Files: Right to Life', penned by Vivek Agnihotri and co-produced by Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Agnihotri, will hit the theatres on September 5, 2025.The film is presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal and I am Buddha Productions.
