Tamils are making India proud : Kamal Hassan

Chennai: Overawed by the unprecedented support for the students movement on the Jallikattu issue, with more than two lakh people congregating at Marina beach front, actor Kamal Haasan said Tamils were making India proud.

In a series of tweets, the actor, who extended his support for millions of youngsters hitting the streets across Tamil Nadu against Jallikattu ban, urged them to keep nonviolence intact.
'It will help us win' he tweeted.'The world is watching us.Tamils are making India proud.
Keep your tenacity of purpose.We have become women and men of the moment', he added.
In another tweet, he wrote, ‘The manifesto for civil disobedience movement was drafted in Madras 1930.

Again it is successfully enacted in Tamil Nadu 2017.' 'This movement is of the people.
I still feel celebrities should only support and not steal the show', Kamal said.Stating that students were his teachers following their relentless struggle, Kamal said ‘I watch news just to watch my people gathered all around TN.Moved 2 tears.Thanks.Youre no more students you are now teachers.(UNI)
