Half yearly report 2017: Top 10 movies at the box office

Mumbai: Bollywood has produced one of the finest movies in the first six months of the year 2017. Movies like Baahubali, Raees and Kaabil was able to entertain the audience. The top 10 report is based on the domestic collections.
It is not necessary that the movie, which features in top 10 is a hit. For instance Tubelight features in this list, but it is a flop at box-office. So here is the list.
Number 10
Naam Shabana
36.50 crore
Naam Shabana was prequel of movie Baby. The movie impressed critics, but was not able to earn much at the box office. Acting of Tapsee Pannu was appreciated.
Number 9
Sachin A billion dreams
50.4 crore
Despite being a Docu-drama the movie fared up average at the box office. Fans of Sachin Tendulkar and cricket buffs enjoyed the movie a lot.
Number 8
Half Girlfriend
60.18 crore
The movie was based on the novel of best seller Chetan Bhagat. The movie was expected to enter 100 crore club, but the movie disappointed the critics. The performance of the movie may be termed average.
Number 7
Hindi Medium
69 crore
In the beginning, movie crawled at the box office, but managed to catch momentum later. The Irrfan Khan starrer movie is not only provides entertainment but also a social message. The movie was declared a super hit due to its low budget.
Number 6
Tubelight
106.86 crore
Tubelight is still running at the nearest multiplexes, but the verdict is out. Salman has delivered a flop movie after 7 years that too on Eid.
Number 5
Badrinath Ki Dulhania
116.5 crore
It was the sequel of Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania. The Varun Alia starrer movie was successful at the box office.

Jolly LLB 2

The sequel of Jolly LLB in which Akshay Kumar played the lead role entertained the audience. The move was hit.

Kaabil

Hrithik starrer Kaabil was one of the best revenge thriller of this year. The collection of the movie suffered due to clash with Raees. Still, it managed to become a clean Hit.

Raees
155 crore
Sharukh Khan in and as Raees was liked by one and all. The movie received a great response at the box office. However a clash with Kaabil refrained Sharukh to enter 200 crore club.
Number 1
Baahubali the Conclusion
511.3 crore
The movie, which took box office by storm by creating 500 crore club this year.The records set by Prabhas starrer Baahubali will be near about impossible to break for any actor in the future.
