Mumbai: Bollywood director Zoya Akhtar on Sunday completed 13 successful years as a director.
She marked her directorial debut with "Luck By Change" featuring brother and actor Farhan Akhtar and 'Wake up Sid' fame Konkana Sen Sharma.
Taking to Instagram, Zoya shared her first film's poster and wrote, "I just turned 13" along with hashtags -- #luckbychance, #birthday, #ihitmyteam, #13yearsadirector, #bestcast, #bestcrew".
Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film also featured late actor Rishi Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Dimple Kapadia, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Kapoor.
Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn also made a guest appearance in the film.
The film portrays the journey of a struggling actor who comes to Mumbai with hope to become a movie star.
The film was released on January 30 in 2009. It was critically acclaimed but didn't perform well on the box office. (UNI)
