New Delhi: India saw a 90 percent rise in Covid-19 cases as the Union Health Ministry data on Monday showed 2,183 new cases.
With this, the tally touched 4,30,44, 280, while the toll stood at 5,21,965 with 214 more deaths reported. On Sunday, there were 1,150 Covid-19 cases reported from across the country.
The active caseload currently stands at 11,542, comprising 0.03 per cent of the total infections, while the national recovery rate decreased to 98.76 per cent.
Recoveries from the pandaemic touched 4,25,10,773 with 1,985 more people fighting the SARS CoV2 virus successfully.
According to the bulletin, 83.21 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far, with 2,62,440 in past one day.
India has administered 186.54 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far, across age groups starting 12-years-old the Ministry data said.
Delhi on Sunday, saw 517 fresh Covid-19 cases, 56 more than the previous day, with a positivity rate of 4.21 per cent, according to city health department.
With these new infections, the capital's case tally has increased to 18,68,550 while toll remained unchanged at 26,160. (UNI)
